I ordered a carnitas super burrito and it completely satisfied my craving. Service was quick and very friendly.
Carnitas had great flavor. There wasn't much in the burrito but the tacos had plenty of meat. Parking isn't great, best to go when it's not too busy. Food was hot and fresh.
If you want authentic Mexican food without all the pricey fees this is the first place I recommend.
The price went up but it's still good after all these years. My go to place for the wet burrito and fresh carrot juice.
My housemate and I agree. This place is underrated both in stars on Yelp and in just the sheer lack of noise about this taqueria on a street filled with many others. I recently moved to the area and have tried a few on this street and this by far is my favorite! Pros + meat quality: (carne asada, birria, carnitas, cabezas) + tasty green and red salsas + a decent priced Taco Tuesday still?! 2.25. Unseen in the current economy + they stay open into the early AMs on the weekend. THIS is the place to end up. Can't speak for their burritos but I've had their regular tacos, chips, quesabirria tacos, and tortas. And my housemate had their super quesadilla and said it was so good and it had a nice crisp on it! I need this place to stay open. Solid and no frills! Very nice service and you can indeed pay with credit card and Apple Pay. Also there's a Safeway right next door if you need to shop and then get a snack. Will return to try more food! 2 out of 2 times it's been tasty so far!!
I have been to a whole bunch of Burrito Joints all over San Francisco & Out of San Francisco!!! I have past by Altena so many times when riding on the 14 Muni Bus and never thought that I would eat at this Burrito Place!!!!!
